In a New York Times article, "Mask On or Off? Life Is Getting Back to Normal, and We’re Rusty" Dr. Becker was recently quoted as a public health expert about adjusting to post-vaccinated life. She provided quotes about whether she will be wearing a mask (yes) or shaking hands (no) in the near future.
Dr. Becker was also recently published in JSAT with her manuscript titled, "Parent SMART (Substance Misuse in Adolescents in Residential Treatment): Pilot randomized trial of a technology-assisted parenting intervention." Results of this pilot randomized control trial (RCT) for parents of adolescents in residential treatment found that their technology-assisted intervention, Parent SMART, was feasible and acceptable in both short-term (acute stay) and long-term residential treatment center settings. There was also evidence of preliminary effectiveness in reducing substance use and related problems, but only in the short-term (acute stay) setting.
