Sophie will be working with Dr. Cioe and team on Project PNAV, a peer navigator model to improve quit attempts and smoking cessation rates among HIV-positive smokers, and the SREC study.
Sophie Lazar is a first-year Master’s of Public Health student at the Brown University School of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. Prior to attending Brown, she worked for three years as a Project Coordinator at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship to Ukraine in 2016-2017 and an Open Society Foundation Fellowship to Kyrgyzstan in 2015-2016. She received her B.A. in Anthropology and dance from Bard College in 2015
