The Independent Scientist Award provides five years of training and support to transition the PI toward a mid-career focus on Implementation Science and Common Factors of Behavior Change. The project will target social work education as the first venue for a novel training approach based on trans-theoretical and trans-behavioral principles that can be integrated into existing practice methods. The project represents a promising alternative to the implementation of manualized, evidence-based therapies in addictions, mental health, or behavioral medicine settings.
