The award is given to a member of the Addictive Behaviors Special Interest Group who has made major contributions to the field of addictive behaviors over the course of a lifetime. This award is given every other year (during odd years) to an individual who has substantially impacted our field as a researcher, educator, clinician, and/or scholar. Award recipients receive a plaque commemorating their achievement and are invited to give a 30 minute presentation on their program of research at the annual SIG meeting.
2019 recipient Kate Carey joins 2011 recipient Peter Monti in being recognized with this prestigious award.
